The Tongabezi Lodge closer to Victoria Falls was magnificent. September is the perfect time for viewing animals and the falls glorious. The people were amazing and so helpful to us all the way through. I will remember this CW Safaris trip for a long, long time. It was a dream come true.

Itinerary & Accommodations
Days 1 & 2 Islands of Siankaba

No description, no matter how vivid, can prepare you for the reality of Victoria Falls. Natives call it “the smoke that thunders.” Geologists call it “the greatest-known curtain of falling water,” and “Seventh Wonder of the Natural World.” The majestic Zambezi River sends more than 500 million cubic meters of water per minute plummeting over the edge of this massive gorge, with a width of one and a quarter miles and over 330 feet deep.

The falls transform the placid Zambezi River into a ferocious torrent exploding into clouds of spray seen from miles away. Yet thanks to its remote location, the surrounding wilderness is peaceful and pristine. There is so much to explore here that this Classic Safari has been created to allow you to shape your own experience. For three days and two nights, the wild beauty of Victoria Falls is yours to enjoy on your own, highly personal safari. Outings and activities range from adrenaline-pumping adventures to moments of quiet contemplation.

So that you can fully focus on the natural wonders surrounding you, your every need has been anticipated. Included during your visit are: transfers to and from Livingstone Airport; all meals and accommodation; local drinks and house wines; laundry; mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) trips, nature trail walk, cultural village and school visits; sundowner cruise; one trip to either the Zambian or Zimbabwean side of the falls per stay*; curio-market shopping stop at top of falls; island picnic lunch.

Included: One-way Lusaka-Livingstone flight, and activities as described above / breakfast, lunch, and dinner during stay at the hotel
