Safety & Security
At CW Safaris, the safety and security of our guests is paramount.
Our exceptionally well-trained guides have completed all relevant professional courses, work year-round in the regions where we safari, and are extremely knowledgeable about animal behavior, safety in the bush, CPR, and wilderness first aid.
We recognize that security may be a concern in some of the regions where we travel; rest assured that nothing is more important to us than your safety. We maintain rigorous standards for local camps, partners, vehicles, and light aircraft. We constantly monitor local conditions with the help of our trusted network of partners in Africa, and are always prepared to act at a moment’s notice should the need arise.
The guides certified to lead our safaris are among the most well-qualified and experienced nature guides in the world. Their encyclopedic knowledge of animal behavior, tracking skills, and insider perspective on the terrain are unparalleled. Though they always carry an elephant rifle loaded with tranquilizer darts as a safety precaution on walks, it’s considered a point of pride to never need to fire it. Most of our guides have worked for decades in natural parks and never fired a single warning shot.
While we exercise utmost care in assuring a safe and enjoyable trip, you should be aware that there are certain risks associated with all adventure travel as stated on our Terms and Conditions form. Your signed acceptance of these terms and conditions is a prerequisite for participation in any of our safaris. In addition, you may be asked to sign a separate release or indemnity form by our local partners in Africa. We encourage you to phone us directly with any questions or concerns.
